December 2009: Diedrichs & Associates hosts annual Christmas party! Diedrichs hosted the annual company Christmas party on Saturday, December 5th at the Cedar Falls Women's Club. There was much to celebrate this holiday season. The night started out with social hour, followed by dinner and a raffle. With many company employees, past and present, in attendance, the night was enjoyed by all! |

September-October 2009: Completed second production build of Autoprobe machines During the months of September and October we completed the second production of 3 Autoprobe machines for AgRobotics, LLC. The first production was done in 2008, completing & shipping 3 machines. The final production of Autoprobes is set for November of 2009 and will include the remaining 4 machines, bringing the total to 10 Autoprobes completed. Learn more about the Autoprobe.
July 2009: Diedrichs & Associates, Inc. moves into new office building! We have moved! Our new office building is located in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park on Nordic Drive. It is directly connected to our existing prototype shop, which moved out to the Industrial Park after the 2008 floods. The new office provides our company with much more space and room for growth. Our new location in the Industrial Park is beneficial in that we are closer to our suppliers and clients, as well as being in the same location as our shop. |

May-June 2009: Complete redesign and prototype build of a new propane weeding system! Led by project manager, Jason Gaede, we have completed a complete redesign and prototype build of a new propane weeding system for the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC). This machine will be used for organic farming in California. May 2009: Diedrichs & Associates purchases new equipment for shop! We recently completed the purchase and installation of a number of additional machine tools including two (2) lathes, radial arm drill, abrasion deburing cabinet, plasma cutter, brake press and cut-off saw. With these new tools our shop will be better equipped to handle more in-house machining and jobs. Check out the "Equipment" page of our website for more information on these machines! April 2009: Diedrichs & Miller present at ASABE meeting On April 4, 2009, Bob Diedrichs and Jim Miller presented at the 2009 Mid-Central ASABE meeting in Ames, IA. They gave a 10 minute presentation on machine design, featuring the M-216 Polymer Injector. ASABE members from Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri were present for the annual conference. The M-216 Polymer Injector is a project that was previously completed by Diedrichs & Associates, Inc. The Polymer Injector is used to inject a liquid polymer solution into established turf, as found on a golf course, sports field, or landscaped area.

September 2008: Diedrichs & Associates, Inc. featured in OEM Off-Highway Magazine We have been chosen as one of three companies featured in the cover article for the OEM Off-Highway Magazine's September issue. The article highlights the pros and cons of doing business with an independent engineering consulting firm.

July/August 2008-- Diedrichs Prototype Shop Moves to New Location Due to the flooding in Cedar Falls in June of 2008, our shop was moved to a new location in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park. The building is newer and offers room for expansion. Our new shop is located on Nordic Drive and also features on-site office spaces as well. June 2008--Bernard named to Board of Directors of AgRobotics, LLC Vince Bernard of Diedrichs & Associates, Inc. has been elected to the Board AgRobotics is an agricultural company founded in 2006 by Jim Burton of Newport, Arkansas. The AutoProbe is the first high speed, on-the-go soil sampler for precision soil sampling. Samples are collected at a precise depth and interval over a section of land, while the machine is guided and steered with GPS. The AutoProbe was chosen as one of the Top Ten New Products of 2008 at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, CA. June 6-8 & 13-15, 2008: "Damn Yankees" We sponsored the play "Damn Yankees" this summer in support of the Cedar Falls Community Theatre. Diedrichs & Associates employees and friends were also invited to attend a reception prior to the June 7th show, held in the Deery Ballroom of the Oster Regent Theatre. May 5-7, 2008: AMC, Efficient Engineering for a World of Demand Diedrichs and Assoicates hosted an exhibit at the 23rd annual Agricultural Machinery Conference at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. The theme for this year's show was Efficient Engineering for a World of Demand. There was over 50 exhibitors at the show, presenting information on everything from economics to engines. April 2008: Diedrichs & Associates begins advertising with The Cedar Falls Times In an effort to increase recognition within the community, we have decided to begin advertising with The Cedar Falls Times. They are a weekly newspaper located in Downtown Cedar Falls. Watch for our ad each Saturday! November 2007: Diedrichs & Associates becomes an underwriter for KUNI We have recently started underwriting for KUNI, an Iowa Public Radio station located in Cedar Falls, IA. You can listen for our messages, along with other quality programming, on KUNI 90.9, and on WOI 640 also. WOI is an AM Iowa Public Radio station located in Ames, IA. Check out the KUNI website. |
