Nathan has twelve years of industrial experience, primarily working with a major client that is one of the leading manufacturers of agricultural tractors and related equipment. He works directly with client engineers to develop designs for new and improved products. He has special expertise in design of large castings and related foundry processes.
Background
Nathan began to work as a part time drafting technician for John Deere while attending the University of Northern Iowa. At American Pattern Co. he designed patterns, cores and core boxes and also provided a leading role in management of the company computer network and related hardware and software systems. At Diedrichs & Associates, Inc. he works as a lead mechanical designer and modeler. He has also served as Network Administrator, making extensive changes and additions to upgrade the system.
Nathan is highly skilled in Pro/Engineer, Pro/Intralink, PDM/Link, and related systems
Over his career, Nathan has worked on a number of projects and technical investigations. The following list illustrates the wide variety of projects that he has worked on:
• Mechanical Design/Model
- CAD Operator: Pro/Engineer, Pro/Intralink
- Design of parts and assemblies.
- Detailed drawings, creation of 3D models of parts, large assembly management, part design, and machine design.
- Broad experience in detail design and modeling of all parts of off-road vehicles
• Casting and Pattern Design/Model
- Design for casting/forging processes.
- Design and modeling of large castings for drivetrain elements, transmissions, gearboxes, suspension elements, etc. for off-road vehicles and machines.
- Design/model of complex castings for a variety of applications
i.e. Hydraulic Manifold
