Bryce has been an engineer for over 40 years. His areas of expertise are project management, testing, evaluation and design verification. Throughout his career, he has worked as a Manager of Reliability, Analysis, Quality Assurance and Field Test Services.
Background
After graduating from KU, Bryce worked at John Deere as an engineer and project manager for 34 years. While in the Kansas City area for 3 years, he worked at Crimsco Inc. and A.B. Chance as a project engineer.
Over his career, Robinson has worked on a number of projects and technical investigations. The following list illustrates the wide variety of projects that Bryce has worked on:
• Manager Test Site Operations- Ag tractors
- Field test sites provide a means to conduct testing under a wide range of actual field conditions. Selected outside users operate equipment while field test engineers monitor operator and machine performance
• Drive Train Quality Assurance Manager
- Monitored all aspects of quality related to assembly of drive train components
- Monitored all aspects of quality related to machining of large castings
• Reliability
- Quality Engineering: Resolved quality issues in factory. Conducted capability studies, set specifications, tolerances and standards
- Reliability Analysis: Worked with lab test, field test and warranty data
- Quality Assurance: Developed requirements for quality assurance operations needed for new tractor assembly plant. Defined organizational structure, personnel requirements, necessary tools and equipment, and space requirements.
• Engine Engineering: Project Manager for 300 series engines
- Management of design group for 3, 4 and 6 cylinders engines of 40 to 200 hp. This included responsibility for engine cooling, exhaust, and fuel systems for naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines.
• Engine Life Test
- Supervised planning and set up tests
- Run tests and prepared reports
• A.B. Chance- Test lab supervisor
- Develop test parameters and planned tests for truck mounted hydraulic cranes and man lifts
