Paul Schuhmacher: Detailer/Designer

Education: BS Mathematics from Minnesota State University-Mankato(1972).

Paul has been an experienced detailer for 18 years and creates drawings for client companies.  He has worked on assemblies, machining, welding and automatic processes, drafting and designing in AutoCAD and PRO/Engineer.

Background

After graduation, Paul worked at John Deere as an assembler, machinist and supervisor. He was responsible for the automatic processes at the Welding Press division and the upkeep and maintenance of the overhead material handling system (ACCO). Throughout his career, Schuhmacher worked as the head of assembly and manufacturing of printed circuit boards, and supervised the making of sabots at Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp.

He joined Diedrichs & Associates, Inc. in 1999. He has worked on many large and medium sized castings for transmission and machine projects, as well as detail work and drawings on other implements.

Over his career, Paul has worked on a number of projects and technical investigations. The following list illustrates the wide variety of projects that he has worked on:

• Detailing and Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD & T)
• 70 hp tractor: vehicle concept
• Small tractor: transmission/ chassis
• Hydraulics
• 350 Engine group
• Weld and press shop operations
