Diedrichs engineers worked with the client to modify the transmission and axles of this crane. The machine was upgraded with a new transmission and hydraulic brakes. This required engineering and design revisions to make the new components fit within the old chassis.
Changes were made to accommodate the new transmission: redesign mounting, modify control linkages for shifting, and alter engine mounts. The existing air brake lines were removed, and axles were modified to support the new hydraulic brake system. Plumbing changes were also made to meet requirements for the hydraulic brakes and new transmission.
These revisions resulted in performance improvement and cost reduction for this machine.
