Our shop provides a variety of testing services for machines and parts.  A test was conducted to demonstrate that the operator cab for a construction vehicle was in compliance with Canadian safety standards CMVSS 206, 207, and 210.  This involved the application of loads using hydraulic pull-back cylinders and measurement of forces with load cells.  Five tests examined the amount of loading that could be withheld by the door hinges, seat, and seat belt.    (Click on images to enlarge)

Loads were applied in a forward direction to the front of the seat and the seat belt.

The door hinge was subjected to horizontal, lateral outward forces.
